The thing I loved of the comic bring the game to life is true in the volume equally well. Equally link upgrades his powers and abilities. Links is also "forced" into a reluctant office of champion/hero. I really promise
Activeness packed sequel, all the activity that was missing from the showtime book is in this one. Dear the story and the art work. With the expansion of the Twilight realm Link has a new class in a new world with new beings. Now Link must to use his new grade and abilities if he has a take chances of survival. The thing I loved of the comic bring the game to life is true in the volume as well. Equally link upgrades his powers and abilities. Links is likewise "forced" into a reluctant function of champion/hero. I really hope this themes is explored further in the next book as well every bit maybe more than shifting betwixt forms as well. Great comic with a guest appearance from the title character. I am hocked in for the next volume.
...more thanThe art was just as swell as the starting time volume, withal
Well-nigh every bit hard-hitting equally The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Vol. 1, this vol was a solid addition to the ongoing story. Providing answers as well as posing new questions, enough headway was made to go along the reader engaged. The exposition had a distinct game-like feel to it at times, one of the ever-present reminders of this manga'due south game counterpart. Yet, the manga broke free of the game's constraints past exploring different perspectives. The art was just as swell as the outset book, yet I did notice that the action scenes became a petty incomprehensible because of the busy black and white art style.

Non my favorite installment since a large part of it involves incredibly ugly monkeys...and it also doesn't help that I'one thousand...*looks around anxiously and whispers*...not a huge fan of Midna. She is introduced to us every bit pretty selfish and cruel, making her relationship with Link outset off abusive and one-sided. I knooow she has a redemption arc, so nosotros shall see how that goes, but I'thounot an instant fan.
Even so! Zelda appears in this book! This Zelda is such an elegant, compassionate, and impressive young ruler. I call up seeing her on advertisements as a little girl and thinking she was the near cute princess I had ever seen, which was very special for me since there weren't too many brown-haired princesses.
Also, Link continues to struggle with acrimony and cocky-loathing issues, which is an interesting contrast for our noble hero.
...moreSame comments from the outset book, gorgeous artwork and compelling story, besides as the introduction of Midna and Zelda into plot. Midna peculiarly is a fun grapheme that I've ever really loved.
When I commencement started reading The Legend of Zelda I for got that the series was a manga. I read it like a regular comic volume and so I ended upwards reading it backwards. Afterwards I finished reading information technology the incorrect way I thought that'due south weird I feel like the finish is the showtime. And then I asked my cousin why it was weird and she told me I was reading it the incorrect mode. Anyway my favorite part was probably when Link was a wolf and was in the twilight realm and defeated all of the shadow quaternary quarter 1st choice book:

Turns out, manga books don't always have page numbers. Anyhow really good manga book the drawings were done very nicely then good job to who ever drew them. Ya, great volume. ...more than

the book chosen the fable of Zelda: twilight princess, Vol.2 is a Fantasy book past Akira Himekawa, part two of the series. Vol.two is almost our primary character Link who turns into a wolf but doesn't know why, simply when he woke up a girl named Midna finds him and brings him to her place thinking that he is just a random wolf to be her companion/transportation until he said something which when she parshaly freaked out she also laughed because he was very confused so he had to look in a puddle so he tin can come across his reflection and saw he was a wolf. But together they went on an run a risk to notice out what happened to him and why also to notice out more about Midna along with finding Princess Zelda. I would rate this book a 10/10 for the chance pack, and suspicion of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess serial. I as well liked the format of the manga how it is formatted in the Japanese style forth with the beautiful fine art. Plus it kinda teaches other countries how they read their books. I would recommend this book to people who love The Legend of Zelda games along with people who like manga or just whatsoever adventure.
...moreThe characters are great and the whole story is total of such adventure and excitement that I can't wait to read the next volume and get more of everything.
I now accept the strongest urge to play Twilight Princess only so I tin play as wolf link once again. I LOVE Information technology So MUCH!!
Twilight Princess is one of my favourite Legend of Zelda games, so to be able to sit down and read more about the backstory (fifty-fifty if it isn't cannon) is just the greatest thing always. The characters are dandy and the whole story is full of such adventure and excitement that I can't look to read the next volume and get more of everything.
I at present have the strongest urge to play Twilight Princess simply so I can play equally wolf link again. I Dear IT And then MUCH!!
...moreMidna is such a cute, cheeky Wow, well, my memory is a trivial fuzzy from the events of volume 1, but this volume was still very enjoyable. Twilight Princess is the get-go Zelda manga I've read through, but still I can tell that it'south probable one of the most mature ones. This is definitely non for kids. There's way as well much killing and violence to exist okay for kids, it even bothers me. But it helps set the tone, then it'southward acceptable. I'yard really glad Roo is okay. They had me afraid for a moment there.
Midna is such a cute, cheeky picayune imp, tiny Zelda is a cutie, Link is having some interesting evolution and he's SO purple when he finally regains his human form...in the last affiliate of this volume. There'south just so many things I want to affect in this volume, but I can't seem to organize any of it in my caput!
First off, then who is the Twilight Princess? Midna or Zelda? Zelda was called the twilight princess by Midna, but Midna was possibly merely being a footling shit again. (Likewise, I see why my swain from back then had Midna as his favorite, always. I ever thought it was how she looked. Nooopee. She has a shit eating personality. Exactly the kind of thing he likes.)
I'k finding out things near this game that I didn't actually know before. Some plot points, really, similar the four gods that Link has to basically become reactivate.
In that location's so many things I accept to wonder almost. Oh, likewise, I forgot my friend mentioned that Midna will ofttimes reside in Link's shadow. And so beautiful. Though it's only so that she doesn't burn down alive after he is granted human form again AKA his low-cal form. He'due south so baffled by the attire they gave him, but come on, Link! It'southward classic!!
I really like how Link is somewhat embracing his destiny yet besides rejecting it. He's not reluctant like Noctis Lucis Caelum, but rather he'due south just unsure of how exactly he could perhaps fit the ideals of the gods. He's trying to practise the right thing, but his principal motivation is merely to regain his human course. On summit of that, he feels similar he'south constantly simply scrambling around and swinging blindly, lost wherever he goes. He questions how the gods tin cull someone like that as their savior. I similar that he actually questions these things, and has an inner battle with himself over his destiny and himself every bit a person and the choices of those around him. I like for Link to take that kind of depth, any sort of developmental depth.
But what Link doesn't see is his heart of gold. Yes, his main motive is to regain human form. But for what? And if he sees someone in need, he puts their situation above his ain and jumps correct in to assistance save them, doing his very best to do so, rushing only and so that at that place'southward less likelihood of them getting hurt worse or dying. Link says he's lost and blind? But he's the i who'southward been leading the way, even though he's been telling Midna to practice and so. He'southward the ane who has won all their battles, even when she spat incertitude at his capability. You don't have to know what you lot're doing or where you're going to be reliable and amazing. Not 100% of your motives, not even your driving motive has to be noble and pure for you lot to have a noble warrior's heart fit for the gods to rely on.
Someday, Link will larn all this, I'1000 sure.
P.South. Yeah, Midna is a cute footling shit. And so cocky. So arrogant. Ever pouncing on Wolf Link's back.
...moreFull disclosure, I wasn't really looking forward to reading this. Information technology's been a long time since I a) played Twilight Princess and b) read Zelda manga, then I wasn't expecting much, simply this stuff? This stuff is practiced.
The other volumes of Zelda manga are all heavily truncated, having to clasp almost of the games into ane tankobon (bar Ocarina of Fourth dimension, my 2d favourite adaptation
Disclaimer: I've done it once more, and blitzed 3 volumes of manga in one day, so I'm reviewing all three in one review hither.Full disclosure, I wasn't actually looking forward to reading this. It'southward been a long fourth dimension since I a) played Twilight Princess and b) read Zelda manga, so I wasn't expecting much, but this stuff? This stuff is proficient.
The other volumes of Zelda manga are all heavily truncated, having to squeeze about of the games into i tankobon (bar Ocarina of Time, my second favourite accommodation then far, and Four Swords, that I don't really intendance for), merely Twilight Princess isn't restricted like that, and is then much amend as a event.
In that location'south a lot of both world building and graphic symbol building going on hither. Link feels like a fully formed character with a backstory split to the game, as practise the kids of Ordon Village, and even Midna who comes across as a bit one-note to begin with is much deeper than you'd expect. There's a lot of work put in to prove how Zant affects Hyrule, and the Bokoblins become their own side plot as well. Fifty-fifty the dungeons are adapted in such a way that they period with the story rather than just being a method to get Link the items he needs. Speaking of item side quests, who'd have thought that the Aureate Wolf guy would get a whole storyline, and yet here we are.
The pacing is actually well washed too; every bit I said, this story gets time to spread out, so three volumes in and nosotros're barely scratching the surface of the game, but information technology feels natural, like a long-form story should. Well-nigh Zelda games take a lot going on, and this extended run really allows for the story to be done justice.
The artwork is absolutely phenomenal as well. The action scenes are insane, and both Link and Wolf Link wait perfect in every panel; Wolf Link especially looks very lifelike, and affects the mannerisms you'd expect from a dog even in inconsequential panels. In that location'southward a chip of him lying completely spread eagled that looks exactly like my own canis familiaris.
So yeah, I wasn't looking forward to reading this. Past me was a fool.
...moreI thought that this was a really corking s
I made the "smart" decision to read this book, as well as the previous book, aloud. With the start book I had a dandy time and I thought it was a really interesting way to enjoy the volume. I was able to give each character whatsoever vocalisation I wanted, and it made the characters seem more alive. Merely when I finished the book thirty minutes ago my throat was then hoarse and information technology hasn't gotten whatsoever amend. And so information technology is safe to say that I will not be doing that 7 more times.I thought that this was a actually cracking sequel, and it did a expert job introducing us to the existent threat of Zant and his powers. In the get-go book information technology was shown that he was evil and all, just all he did was make threats and sort of ominously was present in Hyrule, merely that was nigh it. In this volume nosotros got to really see the Twilight Realm taking over the World of Calorie-free, and we got to come across how it was affecting Hyrule and its inhabitants. Stakes are definitely getting higher, life isn't peaceful anymore, and things are merely going to get worse.
I idea the action scenes were better this time effectually, and I thought they were easier to follow forth and didn't feel as static every bit with the last volume. In general I liked that their was more activity in this book and we got to come across different types of action than we normally did, considering he was in wolf form for a long time. It gave the states a different perspective, and I idea wolf Link was pretty absurd. I too liked the fight with Link and the plant-creature. There was something so epic almost Link cutting off that eyeball while trapped in the mouth and then cutting himself out. In general this book was simply much more exciting and thrilling, which I absolutely loved. Information technology had that edge of hazard that the first book didn't have, which was expected considering it was the first installment, but it was not bad to see the real hazard boot off.
I too found myself feeling super emotional during this book for no reason. I'one thousand a LOZ fan, merely even with the books that I really dearest I always don't feel like my emotions have been swayed and then much, but for this one it was but i hit after some other. When we first saw Zelda I thought I was going to cry because I felt so bad for her, seeing the villagers of Ordon village not be able to recognize link my heart intermission, and there was something nigh that group of villagers (including an incredibly detailed Bobcat) that fabricated me want to sob. I know this is fiction, and I know all will be well for those animals, only they had such sad piddling faces and droopy eyes- MY Middle. I also wanted to cry just seeing Sera crying for Roo, thinking that he was in danger. Thankfully Roo was never in danger, but equally a cat person but thinking about one of my cats lost outside when I know at that place'due south danger out there.
Last volume I had talked about how I didn't understand what the wolf was supposed to visualize, and I think I might know what it means, only I'm yet not sure. I'k sure I'm the only person who has this event because I recall most people who are reading this are more familiar with the game. I got a flake dislocated about the spirit telling link to rescue the iii other spirits, considering it told him that if he rescued them all he could be returned to his human grade, but and so he was turned back after defeating Ook, which was earlier he saved any of them. I think I'm missing something, or I simply read the scene with the first spirit wrong, because it but doesn't make sense for me.
I'm actually excited to read the residual of the series, and I'g probably going to read two or three of them tomorrow. That means I need to be on top of my reviews, or else I'thousand going to get real dislocated about what happened in which book, and I simply do non have the free energy to go back and look through each book to make sure I didn't talk about something in the wrong book. Hopefully I can keep up on information technology and have the time and free energy to write my regular-length reviews for each of them, because writing reviews back to back can be draining, especially if they're from the same series considering y'all but talk about the aforementioned things over and over again with pocket-sized changes that set them autonomously. Crossing my fingers.
Also, WHY was the monkey's ass and then detailed? Himekawa, I need answers.
...more thanIf I were to nitpick, it is how we see Ganondorf's punishment. In the game, the sages only sent Ganondorf to the Twilight Realm as a last resort, when they realized likewise late that considering of the Triforce of Power he has been blessed by the goddesses and protected by them so he tin't be killed and is a potential danger to the Earth of Low-cal.
In the manga, that was their program from the beginning. Non fifty-fifty thinking of what an already powerful sorcerer could learn or do while surrounded by a group of people with a magic that is a directly threat to their world... yes that won't backfire at all.
...more thanAgain, fun times to be had hither, a decent load of action and the mode is staying pretty stro
Without any context I realize that this series is going to be one big generic adept vs evil story, but it'southward still fun. I likewise have the do good of having played Twilight Princess. While we all need to play the game (or replay it) this is still a skillful manga that follows the story in a rough outline of how it's told. There'd exist no point if they copied and paste the story of the game without any deviations.Once again, fun times to exist had here, a decent load of activeness and the style is staying pretty potent. Props to whoever draws all these characters in their different shapes and forms. Drawing a wolf is hard plenty, but Monkeys in humans in the same vein as the game? Props.
My simply complaint is Link's monologue at the terminate. Who knows it might serve a purpose...
...moreWe're getting a lot of information concerning the monsters coming out of the Twilight realm and what Link has to exercise to prepare
The art is very nicely washed, the story paces fairly well [in that there aren't whatever jarring jumps between scenes without proper transitions], it'southward quite interesting. I'm just not too sure most the length of the story. Link learned nigh the shadow demons beingness able to possess animals, he learned how to see shadow creatures, and he'south managed to get his hands on the boomerang. We're getting a lot of information concerning the monsters coming out of the Twilight realm and what Link has to do to fix information technology, but it feels similar very fiddling is really happening. It seems like it will be a very tiresome burn down blazon of story all the fashion to the stop.
I am excited to see how all of this works in graphic novel form.
...more thanAnd of grade, th
I love getting to encounter this world, this story in a way that allows me into Link's head. While a lot could be inferred from playing Twilight Princess and watching the cutscenes, being able to see his dialogue and thoughts really adds some other layer of depth. The same tin exist said of Midna's character; her motivations seemed pretty clear throughout the game, forth with her change of heart--simply information technology'south and so proficient to meet it hither, to get a sharper glimpse of the dynamic between her and Link. And of class, the same can be said of Zelda, though her part is ofttimes smaller in most of the LoZ storylines--I really get to appreciate her bravery and sacrifice, knowing she fabricated the best of a bad situation.
I'll definitely be reading the rest of the manga in this series.
...moreBut 4/5 stars is actually practiced anyhow.... Vol 1 was just pure awesom
Well, I must say I liked the first volume more than, maybe considering it added something new to the story: groundwork, context, a piffling bit of magic combat and Link'south mystical search (I know that was just ane page or then but I loved that). This volume, however, follows the story as it was, even taking parts from it (it sums up the offset maze which is completely normal but that still makes me not to love it as I did with the previous ane). But 4/5 stars is really good anyway.... Vol 1 was just pure awesomeness.
...moreI really similar that near this—especially since this is one of my favorite Zelda games in the franchise. I dearest how Link actually has a voice and how the author is giving the pigdude antagonist a personality.
An actual conscience and personality! That makes him a real character!
This book was
Okay. I've heard that most manga adaptations are like this where the author and/or artist can dive deeper into characters because the source material didn't do much to explore further graphic symbol development.I actually like that about this—particularly since this is one of my favorite Zelda games in the franchise. I love how Link really has a voice and how the author is giving the pigdude adversary a personality.
An actual censor and personality! That makes him a real graphic symbol!
This volume was alright but my little sister says they become better as they go and then...I'm gunna keep going.
...moreThe other Zelda manga's were short and rushed, juicy bits were left out. Simply not with this one!
In that location are 4 so far and volume 5 is coming in july. Looking at the game at that point information technology's about half way through. That means there is a lot left to cover :D
They really thake their fourth dimension with this one. Characters are fleshed out and developing. The story is well told. It's the all-time Zelda manga out there. Go read it! Twilight princess is my favourite Zelda game. And I just love the manga!

I practice like that Link has his own phonation in the manga, every bit he never really did in the game. However, in some parts of the manga he'due south having a bit of imposter syndrome, peculiarly at the cease...I didn't really like how it was left off on that note. But, I'm still invested. On to volume three!
